From Out of the Blue
Forest Club is an exciting and fun place to go to if you just want tohave fun and relax from the daily grind of the Metro. REGCOM had funwhen we stayed for our LTS and it proved to be a successful venue forus to bond with one another and also learn from the activities that wewere given.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a warm welcome as we unpacked our stuff. The room was very comfortable to stay in as well as the "beach"feel to it. We had a concern though if it was possible to have a driver's sleeping quarters or an area where they can sleep if ever other participants will be bringing their drivers along.
The schedule was very flexible too. Aside from this, there weremarshals that were handling many of the activities which were fun todo! The canopy walk, tree plank and the raft was a differentexperience! We laughed and at the same time tested our mettle withthese kinds of activities that wouldn't be available elsewhere. Theother activities were fun too, although the races could have been moreelaborate and longer so that it could be more appreciated by theparticipants. I guess another suggestion is to tally the scores andpresent how many points each team or group has so far in order toenergize and have a competitive feel to it, rather than being in thedark with the status of the competition. There could also be asuggested prize or consequence for the losers as well to also have acompetitive energy within the teams as well!
The mud crawl was a totally different experience too! It was reallysomething different, which is very memorable too. The only thing thatI could suggest is that the marshals could have a disclaimer saying toeither have shirts that could be "destroyed" by the mud or dark coloredones. Many of the participants with white shirts had difficulty incleaning them due to the mud that was in the water.
The food was grand! There was enough to fill the energy andstomachs of the participants as well as going for seconds, and theywere very accommodating when it comes to giving many of our needs.
The facilities too was great! The dining hall, the hot springs pooland the like was very nice to just relax and enjoy the company duringthe night, and it proved to be a fruitful venue for everything thatwe've done in Forest Club.
