Two New Rooms Now Available

posted on 06/24/2008 - 11:45

We have opened up two rooms at the once private main house to guests, and we are calling the rooms Apitong and Bagtikan.  We name all our rooms after the trees that can be found in Philippine rain forests, to help educate our guests about our rich natural heritage.

Apitong is the master's bedroom at the second floor of the main house.  It is furnished with an acacia king sized bed, a single bed, and an Ilocos daybed.  It can comfortably accommodate up to 4 persons. The room is cleverly fitted with glass windows, that provide guests a pleasant view of the lush gardens outside, while maintaining the cool comfort of air-conditioning. The room has its own toilet and bath, plus a large sala right outside the bedroom.

Bagtikan room, on the other hand, is furnished with heirloom pieces passed on from our Mother's side of the family in Quezon.  The antique brass queen bed used to belong to my lola (right), as well as the two "butaka" chairs by the capiz windows (below).  Aside from the queen sized bed, the room also has a pull out bed, and two day beds in the ante-room. The room is comfortably air-conditioned, has its own toilet and bath, and is ideal for small families.  As many as five guests may occupy this room.
